Dr. Jacob Jonathan 's research interest is in Phonetics and Phonology of English. He has done some studies on the Intonation of English in relation to it's perception and interpretation by Nigeria. Users of English.
He has equally done some works on reading pedagogy and error analysis.
He is currently a member of TAG 5, a TETFUND committee on Book intervention for Tertiary Education.
