Professor Adenike Akinjobi is a linguist with a B.Ed. (Ilorin, 1987), M.A. (Ibadan, 1991), and PhD (Ibadan, 2004). She trained in speech acoustics at Harvard (2004) as a MacArthur Fellow. She lectures at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, specialising in phonetics/phonology and sociolinguistics. She has 65 publications and authored children's literature and plays, including "Family Secrets" (nominated for ANA/NDDC prize, 2005). Adenike is a speech trainer and voice-over artist.
