Ubong Josiah, a former Polytechnic don, became Chief Lecturer in 2009; joined University of Uyo as a Senior Lecturer in 2011; became Associate Professor in 2016, and then, full Professor in 2024. He holds B.A., M.A. and Ph.D with specialization in English Phonetics and Phonology. Josiah has many professional publications; has graduated many PG students, and belongs to renowned professional bodies. A former HOD, English, UniUyo, Josiah hails from Akwa Ibom State, and is married with children.
